Adi Atman 5: when I spilt my blood
by Ivan M. GrangerOriginal Language English
Adi Atman,
who did I think you were
when I spilt my blood
on the red Sonoran rocks?
a black eagle
thirsting for blood
ready to pluck
my beating heart
from its cage?
I was crazy from thirst!
I pierced
myself for you
caught in ocotillo
slung from saguaro.
why didn't you
stop me?
