Let Us See

by Pawnee (Anonymous)
(19th Century) Timeline

English version by
Daniel G. Brinton

Primal/Tribal/Shamanic : American Indian
19th Century

Let us see, is this real,
Let us see, is this real,
Let us see, is this real,
This life I am living?
Ye gods, who dwell everywhere,
Let us see, is this real,
This life I am living?

Commentary by Ivan M. Granger

To contemplate is to ask on some level, "Is this real?"

But how many people actually start by proclaiming, "Let us see"...? Without the determination to see what is real, the question of what is real echoes helplessly.

So -- Let us see!
