Adi Atman 6: vixen eyes

Adi Atman,

I sought your vixen eyes
in the glance of my first lover

I sought your breath
upon her lips
and your secret
in the way she was
blanketed by the night

she betrayed me --
by remaining herself.

You betrayed me --
by remaining hidden
in plain sight

watching
our attempts
at coming together
coming apart

when a single word
from you
would have resolved
the whole matter
